Lauren's book came out just in time for me. I'm in animal rescue and see a lot of loss, but I had just lost one of my dearest rabbit companions and was having a hard time coping. It was such a gift to get the animals' perspectives on death and its role in their perception of the circle of life.
Reading stories of many animals' passing from our world to the next stage and the freedom and lightness they feel in that process gave me a sense of calm. Sometimes we can't help projecting our anxieties and worries onto our animals when they are ill and Lauren showed me how they don't carry our burdens with them. They are truly free and happy and healthy once they pass.
I have recommended Lauren's book to many of my friends who were grieving over sudden or unexplained losses of their animal companions. I hope they have found the same comfort I did after understanding loss from the animals' perspective.
I found the book to be ok. There are other books on the subject that I think are cover
it better.
Purchased after the loss of our beloved pets only 5 months between their passing. It was comforting reading, through tears but would recommend this read as comfort during a difficult time.
This is a wonderful book that helped me greatly while grieving over the loss of my beloved "best friend" of thirteen years. I recommend it to open-minded readers who have lost a beloved animal companion.
This amazing book opened my eyes and heart to a different way of thinking about death. It is moving, entertaining, and should be read by everyone with an interest in the natural and spiritual realms.
I guess it's all a matter of timing. I purchased and read this book for an online book discussion.
Three weeks before, one of my dogs passed. It wasn't unexpected he was 15; but it was sudden. Still, while I read this, I found myself going back to other pets that had passed on years ago, rather than this most recent death.
This manuscript did give me comfort, but once again, formatting errors distracted me as I read. I also thought that the price was a little high for the length (in comparison to other e-books I've purchased.) Still, I recommend it.
I am a believer in Animal Communication, and have lost many Beloved Animals in the last 3 years. Many over my lifetime.
So I was really looking forward to the book. However, if anything it seemed to be overdone.
The way the animals answered her seems too unbelievable. They just seemed too in depth, and not how they would actually be describing their thoughts. I really wanted to contact an animal communicator and now feel it could possibly be a waste of emotions and money. So I have to say it left me saddened and disappointed. Also, it may have just been a bad time to be reading it as my last loss was still too fresh. I had hoped, I know, to feel that I could call her and "communicate" through her.
